About this course
Microaggressions—subtle, often unintentional actions or comments—can have a significant and lasting impact on colleagues, especially those from marginalized groups. In Understanding and Addressing Microaggressions in the Workplace, participants will gain a deep understanding of what microaggressions are, how they manifest, and the ways in which they affect both individuals and organizational culture.
Throughout the course, learners will engage in thought-provoking discussions, case studies, and practical exercises designed to explore the various forms of microaggressions, including verbal, behavioral, and environmental. Participants will examine how unconscious biases contribute to these actions and gain insight into the psychological and emotional toll they take on affected individuals and teams. Special attention will be paid to the intersectionality of microaggressions, exploring how individuals from diverse backgrounds experience microaggressions differently.
By the end of the course, participants will learn effective strategies for identifying, confronting, and mitigating microaggressions in the workplace. They will also develop the skills necessary to foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment for all employees, promoting a culture of acceptance and understanding within their organizations.
